Playing Catch Up

Life has been crazy lately!! I figured it was time to sit down and update this blog with the happenings of my life, lol.

First things first. I finished my first semester of nursing school in May. I loved every minute of it, it was a lot of hard work and not a lot of sleep but it was worth it! School starts back up in September, and I am excited but also trying to enjoy the summer while it is here.

This summer has been busy. I started working the day after school ended and I have been working like crazy since. I work taking care of elderly people at a retirement home. My sleep schedule had taken a beating because I vary between working overnights a few days a week and working mornings. My body cant decide when I should be sleeping or awake, haha. I am tired but so grateful for this job and the wonderful experience it has been, both financially and for the nursing experience I am getting! I also have been blessed to continue to watch the Farar's kids usually at least one day a week, I love those kids and they are such a great family!

I am excited for a few things coming up. First in about 2 weeks we are heading down to DC for the weekend!! It will be great to take a break and to got see Jake, Becky and the girls!! Second Clark comes home for leave in August, its been about 6 months since he was home last and I am very excited to see him!! Its been a long time, lots of phone calls, texting and skyping but we're making it work!

This summer has been mostly working but we had a few fun activities that I have been a part of at the branch. GIG, Gathering in the Grove, was at the end of May. It's a regional YSA conference that I am on the committee for! It was loads of fun, and a great spiritual experience!!

Not much else is going on, that I can remember at the moment that is! I hope you are all having a great summer :)

Catch Up

Hey everyone! I know I haven't updated in a long time, and I feel like this is how I start out the majority of my posts, I will have to work on this!! So I thought I would play catch up, and let you all know what is going on in my life right now. School is going well, the semester is almost over and in January I start the nursing program!!! YAY!!

A while ago we had a lot of visitors. Jake and Becky came to see us and to see Amber and Ashley when they came into town. It was so amazing to see them all. I miss you guys.
Here is Eva and me, shes such a sweetie, so funny!
Here is a pic of Ella and me, Ella is such a smart little girl, well not so little anymore.
 Grandma and Eva!
This was the first time I got to meet Amber's family. It was so great to meet her adorable children, and to meet my not so new brother-in-law.
Here is a picture of Edith and me. Edith is such a sweetheart, she is so funny and cute!!

Here is a picture with Finley and me. Finley is such an amazing baby, I don't think I heard him cry once the entire time he was here. He is SOO cute!!!

Ok so while Amber and Jake were in town we went to the Strong National Museum of Play. I had never been there before, and can I tell you how amazing it is!? It's amazing!!! I honestly think that all of the adults had just as much, if not more fun than the kids, at least I did!
There was this light you were supposed to stand under that gave you super strength, yes it was for the kids, but who's to say we couldn't play with the toys too?!

It was so great to have so much family around, I miss you all and cant wait until I see you all again.

Last miunte little plug for myself...This year I have been trying very hard to be healthier and to lose weight. Thanks to Erin I have started running, and in all honestly I love it!!! Since the beginning of the year I have lost 35 pounds and I am still counting :) This is the first new years resolution I have ever actually kept. I'm trying to be healthier, and to take better care of myself, its hard work but it is so rewarding!!
