English Toffee

So my aunt Michelle sent us this amazing English Toffee recipe, it is so easy and so delicious!
English toffee:
Chop 2 1/2 cups pecans and spread over a cookie sheet, setting a little off to the side for the topping

Combine butter, sugar and water in a heavy pan:
1 lb of butter (its Christmas people, what do you expect?)
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup water

Turn the heat on high and put the lid on until steam comes out. Remove the lid and stir until the mixture is the color of a brown paper bag. Pour over pecans, and spread. Pour 1 bag of chocolate chips over toffee, wait a minute and then spread. Sprinkle pecan shavings over the chocolate and refrigerate until hard. SOOO good!! Thanks Aunt Michelle!!
